Pedestals provide a mounting solution for equipment such as proximity readers, keypads, key switches, push buttons, and card readers. A typical height used for vehicle access is 42". Most solutions use a gooseneck pedestal (bent arc) type to make reaching out of the vehicle easier for the parker. A typical gooseneck width is about 13". Pedestals can be either in-ground mounted or surface mounted via lag bolts.
