Vehicle loops are the sensing devices that are installed in the roadway. The vehicle loop is constructed of wire wound a certain number of turns to create an inductor. The vehicle loop is then connected to a vehicle detector. Vehicle loops can be pre-fabricated to order or saw cut into the roadway at the job site.
