Pay-on-Exit machines provide an unmanned payment solution at the exit of the parking lot. Payment methods can be credit cards, cash, or smart cards. Typically a ticket dispenser is placed at the entrance of the parking lot to dispense tickets to parkers. Date and time information is encoded onto the ticket in either bar-code or magnetic stripe format. Upon exiting the parking lot, the parker inserts their ticket into the pay-on-exit machine. The machine then calculates the parking fee and the parker pays. The Pay-on-Exit machine controls the exit barrier gate to open.
