This document will describe in a step-by-step manner on how to install a in-ground, saw cut type vehicle loop.
Here is what you will need: a concrete saw cutter with a saw blade, enough wire to construct the loop, loop sealant, marking spray paint, rope, plastic trowel, and a vehicle detector with harness.
Step 1: Decide the dimensions of the loop.
In order to decide on the loop dimensions you will need to the lane width that the vehicle loop will be placed in.
Step 2: Decide the vehicle loop location.
Step 3: Mark the loop and home run with marking paint.
Step 4: Saw cut the loop and home run.
Step 5: Install the loop and home run wire.
Step 6: Wind the home run with a drill.
Step 7: Seal the loop and home run.
Step 8: Connect the loop to the vehicle detector.
Step 9: Test the loop.
