The RK-WL Proximity Reader has been designed for use where a conventional proximity reader just won't do. This extended-range reader will read Secura Key proximity cards or tags as far as 36 inches away.* Engineered to integrate into any system requiring a Wiegand output, card data can be transmitted in virtually any format up to 40 bits.

The housing is potted and rated for extreme weather conditions. The unit is vandal-resistant and includes LED and buzzer control.

Installation of the RK-WL is easy. The reader can be mounted to a single-gang or a double-gang electrical box, to a parking pedestal or to virtually any flat surface.

Power Requirements - 12-14 VDC, 300 mA avg., 350 mA peak. A regulated power supply is required.

Output - Wiegand Output Data 1 and Data 0. Output Sink Current: 100mA; Output Source Current: 5mA

LED/Buzzer Control - LED Bicolor (Red or Green). Buzzer Short chirp upon presentation of any compatible Secura Key transponder, also controlled by input.

Cable Required - Maximum Distance 500 ft.; 5 to 7 conductor 20 gauge shielded cable(depends on LED and Buzzer control used)

Reading Distance - Molded Card: Up to 36" (91.44 cm); Key Tag and ISO Card: Up to 26" (66.04 cm) Maximum read range is achieved under ideal conditions. Many installations will yield shorter read ranges. Earth ground and regulated DC power are required for the best performance.
